Informal stakeholders meeting on responsible management of the supply chain in the garment sector

At the occasion of the European Year for Development in 2015, the Commission is exploring the idea of launching an EU flagship initiative on responsible management of the supply chain in the garment sector, which would involve several Directorates General within the Commission and the European External Action Service, I was invited as a member of the EESC to represent civil society having been the EESC rapporteur on Corporate Social Responsibility.

Invited to speak for EESC by European Crowdfunding Network alongside industry experts and European networks such as ESMA, ( EU Securities and Markets Authority) EBA ( EU Banking Authority), FESE, EVCA and EBAN. MEP Alessia Mosca Europe: Feminine Plural : Debate Women on Boards in Italy and in Europe

Participation of Ms Madi Sharma as observer

Alessia Mosca MEP established this debate in the European Parliament to raise awareness of the challenges regarding the promotion of a new diversity in Europe and especially for the creation of a truly European presence of women in company boards. As the rapporteur of the EESC opinion on the topic I was invited to listen to the debate which was focussed mainly on the Italian models for better gender balance.
